Science is Fiction is a compilation of film shorts by Jean Painlevé (1902-1989). Yo La Tengo did the sound track The Sounds of Science for this film, which June told me she got to see them play it live the other night. These shorts are observations he made (with some manipulation, of course) of mainly various sea creatures. One of my favorites, however, is the liquid crystals formation. It's so awesome!
